Debate Rocks Again
This past weekend at the Seven Lakes
Debate Tournament where over 45 schools competed, Spring Woods got 2nd
place Sweepstakes and earned another state qualification for a total of 34!
Spring Woods is now ranked 2nd in the state for the most state
qualifications!
Here is who made this happen:
In Congressional Debate: Christine Vo placed 6th and
In Congressional Debate: Christine Vo placed 6th and
In Foreign Extemporaneous
Speaking: Christine Vo placed Maria Palomares placed 4th
In Domestic Extemporaneous
Speaking: Gilbert Fernandez placed 5th
In Original Oratory: Angel
Ramirez placed 3rd and Christine Vo placed 7th
In Duet Acting: Angel Ramirez
and Valentina Rombado placed 1st
In Duo Interpretation:
Karesha Bell/Nicole Jackson placed 2nd & Carlos Diaz/Enrique
Urdiales placed 4th
In Poetry: Karesha Bell
placed 4th
In Dramatic Interpretation:
Courtney Thompson placed 4th and has now qualified for state in her
2nd event; Carlos Diaz placed 5th and Christopher Rice
placed 8th
AND at the same time in Austin, Christian Rice placed 7th and Avery Reinhart placed 10th at the Capitol City Extemporaneous Speaking Round Robin!
