This past weekend at the Seven Lakes Debate Tournament where over 45 schools competed, Spring Woods got 2^nd place Sweepstakes and earned another state qualification for a total of 34! Spring Woods is now ranked 2^nd in the state for the most state qualifications!

Here is who made this happen:
In Congressional Debate: Christine Vo placed 6th and

In Foreign Extemporaneous Speaking: Christine Vo placed Maria Palomares  placed 4^th

In Domestic Extemporaneous Speaking: Gilbert Fernandez placed 5^th

In Original Oratory: Angel Ramirez placed 3^rd and Christine Vo placed 7^th

In Duet Acting: Angel Ramirez and Valentina Rombado placed 1^st

In Duo Interpretation: Karesha Bell/Nicole Jackson placed 2^nd & Carlos Diaz/Enrique Urdiales placed 4^th

In Poetry: Karesha Bell placed 4^th

In Dramatic Interpretation: Courtney Thompson placed 4^th and has now qualified for state in her 2^nd event; Carlos Diaz placed 5^th and Christopher Rice placed 8^th

AND at the same time in Austin, Christian Rice placed 7^th and Avery Reinhart placed 10^th at the Capitol City Extemporaneous Speaking Round Robin!
